Refund Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for paid subscriptions to CMPStack, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) cookie consent management platform. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

Payments for paid plans are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, tax, and payment receipts on our behalf.

Free plan

The Free plan is provided at no charge. No payment is collected and no refund applies.

Paid subscriptions

Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are billed on a recurring monthly basis unless canceled. When you upgrade, you receive immediate access to paid features for the current billing period.

14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with a paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment for that plan. This guarantee applies once per customer per plan tier and covers your initial charge only.

Refund requests made after 14 days, or for renewal charges, are generally not eligible unless required by applicable consumer protection law in your country.

How to request a refund

To request a refund within the eligible window:

  1. Email us at contact@cmpstack.com from the email address linked to your account, including your account email and the reason for your request.
  2. Or open the billing portal from Dashboard → Billing and contact support through the payment provider if a self-service refund option is shown there.

We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Cancellation

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from the billing portal. When you cancel:

  • You keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
  • Your plan downgrades to Free when the period ends.
  • No further charges are made after cancellation takes effect.
  • Cancellation alone does not automatically trigger a refund for the current billing period unless you qualify under the 14-day guarantee above.

Non-refundable situations

Refunds are generally not provided when:

  • The 14-day money-back window has expired.
  • The charge is a subscription renewal (not the first payment for that plan).
  • Your account was suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service or acceptable use policy.
  • You have already received a refund for the same plan under this policy.
  • A chargeback or payment dispute is filed before contacting us to resolve the issue.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

EU and UK consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have statutory rights to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase. By subscribing and immediately accessing digital content, you acknowledge that service delivery begins right away. If you exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days and have not substantially used the service, contact us for a refund in line with applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
